Heather and I watched this movie last night and I have to say, it's eye-opening. The filmmaker did a great job bringing home some of the important points here, like the US wasting 96 Billion pounds of food every year. That's half of what we produce. $136 Billion wasted each year. That's more than the cost of our entire food stamps program that could be salvaged and given away.
Now, this guy is eating chicken and meat from the garbage, so he's an extreme case, but he claims that he, his wife, and their two young children have never gotten sick from the food. Pretty eye opening.
